EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CELL

The college has established an Equal Opportunity Cell to support and advise students from marginalized sections, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), minority communities, etc., who are pursuing various academic programs at the college.

OBJECTIVE

  • Promoting equality and preventing discrimination.
  • Safeguarding the interests of all students without prejudice.
  • Ensuring fair access to education, resources, and opportunities.
  • Addressing grievances related to discrimination or harassment.
  • Sensitizing the community about the needs of diverse groups.

FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor the implementation of policies and programs related to equity and inclusion.
  • Address complaints and grievances related to discrimination.
  • Conduct awareness programs and workshops to promote understanding and acceptance.
  • Collaborate with other relevant bodies and organizations.
  • Advocate for the rights and interests of marginalized groups.

ACTIVITY (2024-2025)

Activity Report of Equal Opportunity Cell 2024-25 During the academic year 2024 25, efforts were made to provide extra coaching for competitive examination as well as personality development, soft skill development, and interview techniques to socially disadvantaged SC, ST, OBCs and Minority candidates to enable them to appear in Competitive examinations .150 students from the various departments of college and registered for the class. Classes started on 07.10.2023 .Special coaching was given for the subjects ‘Numerical Ability’, ‘Current Affairs’, Interview Techniques, General science and General awareness. 20 classes were given to the students. Eminent resource persons from the college handled the classes. Study materials were supplied to the students. Regular tests were also conducted. Job opportunities were informed to the students.
