The department of Diploma in Sanitary Inspector (DSI) was established in the year 2021. The trains professionals to manage public health, hygiene, and sanitation by inspecting environments, enforcing regulations, and educating communities on disease prevention, covering topics like food safety, waste management, communicable diseases, and public health laws for roles in government, hospitals, and food industries.

Eligibility for Admission

Passed 10+2 (12th grade) in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), though some programs may accept 10th pass or even B.Sc. graduates in related science fields.

Objectives

  • Public Health Protection: To develop experts who can inspect and ensure hygienic conditions in diverse settings like restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and public areas.
  • Disease Prevention: To equip individuals to identify health problems, control vectors (insects, rodents), and implement measures against infectious diseases.
